IDENTITY
GIO CACI was founded on the premise that power and confidence can be provided through clothing. And, when properly constructed, may also impose order. The brand treats structure and proportion as means by which presence is engineered and perception is directed.

Each garment is made with precision: the patterns are carefully developed; the materials are chosen for longevity; the use of trapunto embroidery—a technique first developed in Sicily—has been integrated into the brand’s ethos and modernized to satisfy modern sensibilities. Empowerment made visible—fashion as the strategy of appearance.

The brand bears the emblem of the heraldic eagle, drawn from the coat of arms of the Castronovo family. The eagle, black on a field of silver, has long stood for strength, honour, and the duty to “spare the humble and subdue the proud.” When the family’s nobility was stripped away after the Second World War, its symbols remained, a reminder that lineage may be lost but dignity need not be. By restoring this emblem, GIO CACI reclaims that heritage as something living. The eagle now stands not as ornament but as a mark of resilience and a promise of protection. Those who wear it come, in every sense, under its wing: not as followers, but heirs to the same principle of self-command.

The founder, Giovanni Caci, was born in Montréal, Québec, to that same Sicilian family. Educated first in English Literature and Political Science at Concordia University, he turned from theory to craft, studying fashion design at LaSalle College, then learning leatherwork and embroidery independently. What began as curiosity became conviction: that clothing could both physically and metaphorically transform the self by shaping identity, defining presence, asserting control over how one is seen.

At its core lies the idea of augmentation. Inspired by the silhouettes of imposing figures such as bodybuilders and strength trainers, the garment becomes an exoskeleton. The wearer’s shape becomes larger, taking up more space in the world, making them a more imposing. Each element, from the silhouette to the esoteric and psychological visuals of power that embellish the garments, contributes to the outward-perception of composure that eventually becomes reality.
In a society addicted to humility, GIO CACI values presence. The brand serves those who understand that dominance is most effective when overstated. To wear GIO CACI and embrace its eagle is to embody strength, self-confidence, and self-determination.
