Each GIO CACI tote is constructed from salvaged upholstery leather, making every unit distinct. Variations in grain, density, and dye absorption create natural shifts in tone and character. The hand-applied screen print settles differently on each surface, producing its own texture and finish. We utilized as much of each hide as possible, incorporating mixed leathers when needed to preserve material, reduce waste, and maintain integrity. These differences are intentional and reflect the origin of the leather and the studio process behind every unit. The “GIO CACI” cuts were designed to maximize usable leather while forming a silhouette reminiscent of a noble crest, uniting resourcefulness with lineage.
